Privacy notice

This notice explains what the current public FixMyStremio service can process. The short version: the diagnostic runs in your browser, accounts are not required, provider credentials are not accepted, and written suggestions are redacted and held for review rather than published automatically.

Effective 24 August 2026

Diagnostic inputs

Symptoms, pasted errors, add-on addresses, and optional stream information are processed in your browser to produce the result. The app does not send those raw inputs to an analytics or AI service.

Local diagnostic summaries and resolution choices may be saved in your browser storage. You can remove them by clearing this site's browser data.

Screenshots

Uploaded screenshots are decoded, re-encoded, and read locally in your browser. The image is not uploaded to FixMyStremio, stored in the database, placed in a report, or sent to AI. Close the page or remove the screenshot to discard the in-memory copy.

Quality feedback

A Yes or No resolution response can store a random feedback ID, recommendation ID, diagnostic code, diagnostic version, answer, and receipt time. It does not include your raw error, URL, token, account, device, IP address, or diagnostic session ID.

Public quality signals are shown only in aggregate after at least 20 recent responses. Both successful and unsuccessful outcomes count.

Anonymous usage counts

Usage analytics are off unless you choose Allow. When enabled, the browser can send fixed categories such as diagnostic started, diagnostic stage, broad health range, setup completion, or a broad referral channel such as search or Reddit. It never sends diagnostic text, screenshots, URLs, credentials, exact scores, campaign parameters, IP addresses, browser details, or a session identifier.

The application stores only daily totals for each approved category. The hosting provider still processes ordinary request metadata when delivering the analytics request. You can change your choice below at any time; declining stops new application analytics but does not remove already aggregated totals because those totals cannot be traced to an individual.

Abuse protection

After you allow anonymous counts and the first count is sent, or when you make an optional submission, the service can set a random first-party, HttpOnly cookie for up to 24 hours. A one-way digest of that random value, the submission category, an hourly counter, and expiry time are stored briefly to limit repeated requests.

This is temporary pseudonymous rate-limit state. The table does not include your raw cookie, IP address, or browser user agent. Counters become eligible for deletion after about two hours and are pruned during later requests. You can remove the browser cookie by clearing this site's data.

Written reports and fixes

If you choose to describe a problem or what fixed it, the service removes common secrets, links, magnets, email addresses, phone numbers, and IP addresses before storage. The redacted text is held for owner review and is never published automatically.

Rows older than 180 days are excluded from owner review and deleted during subsequent cleanup. Because the current host does not provide this site with a scheduled cleanup trigger, physical deletion can be delayed if the service receives no later activity. Please do not submit credentials or personal information; automated redaction reduces risk but cannot guarantee that every unusual identifier will be recognized.

Temporary probe

The optional Stremio diagnostic add-on stores a random probe ID, stage timestamps, and the Played or Failed outcome. The random ID is a short-lived capability, so do not share its manifest link. It cannot inspect other add-ons, accounts, logs, history, or device files. The probe becomes inaccessible after 30 minutes and expired rows are pruned during later probe creation.

Hosting records

The hosting and network provider processes ordinary request metadata such as IP address, browser information, requested route, time, and security signals to deliver and protect the service. FixMyStremio does not copy that metadata into its diagnostic or feedback tables.

Third parties

Detailed guides can open official Stremio, Real-Debrid, and community documentation in a new tab. Their privacy practices apply after you leave this site. No advertising network or third-party analytics SDK is loaded at launch.

Cloudflare Turnstile loads only when you open the optional report form or Diagnostic Lab and processes security signals to distinguish people from automated abuse. Its single-use token is verified by the server before a report or probe session is created and is not stored in either record.

Your choices

  • Use the diagnostic without an account.
  • Decline anonymous usage counts or change the choice above.
  • Skip feedback, reports, and written suggestions.
  • Use a typed error instead of a screenshot.
  • Delete local history and the analytics preference by clearing this site's browser storage.
  • Delete an active probe from its probe screen before it expires.

Changes and contact

Material changes will be dated on this page. An owner-controlled privacy contact will be published before accounts, payments, advertising, or cross-device history are enabled. Until then, do not send personal information through the product.

This notice describes the product as currently deployed. It should receive jurisdiction-specific legal review before paid accounts, personalized advertising, or sensitive account features launch.
